@elonmusk Dude, @AOL instant messenger would be a cool nostalgic feature for messaging. Don't ask me how that would help or make sense.

@LawrenceLepard But you can’t invest on the internet, you invest on companies that leverage the internet to provide a service. There are literally thousands of other cryptos (w/ similar or better tech). How do you know that #bitcoin is not AOL?

  • StarmanNJ Steve Hoeker (@StarmanNJ) reported

@estatetales I was on AOL so AIM for me. I was never too crazy about chat rooms though.

  • bogsted Michael G Bogsted (@bogsted) reported

@RealJamesWoods Wow over 200k votes and never seen such a slanted poll. Corporate media will end up like AOL. AOL had many subscribers and was the leader in internet service. Could not keep their subscribers. Corporate media wont keep their viewers.

@LenRavelo I remember talking baseball on AOL chatrooms, it was when people were more innocent. Never got a troll or rude person.

@intocryptoverse No, but I remember when AOL shut down their servers at 11pm PST every night.

Can't believe you all never thought of this before.... I'm going to write a GM to make these chix spaz like the Plasmatics. This GM is going to be so hot you steal it to put on your AOL profile....

  • JuBug89 Julie Thompson (@JuBug89) reported from Township of Sumpter, Michigan

@Xfinity @XfinitySupport Apparently it's also effecting your service. My mobile service (yours) and my WiFi are running like I'm on AOL dial up 😒 I chatted with someone and their solution was to send a sim card. 🤨

@DrShade2 Except Twitter is not a common carrier. The real damage was done in the 1990s by AOL, not #twittergate.

  • druideight druid#8 (@druideight) reported

@wjmaggos @Twitter “The fedi is no more difficult than browsers in the age of AOL or podcasts.” That’s too difficult. You need the network effect to take off and it’s not going to unless it’s an app that takes three minutes and requires minimal on-boarding.
