Just in case it hasn't sunk in yet AI being able to code as well as it does means that software as a product or service is DEAD AS A DOOR-NAIL It will probably stop twitching in about 4-5 years for most people, but expect some companies to hold on by charging subscription services until 25 years after they have become irreverent...     News flash, they never did. Even at the height of the Attitude Era wrestling was still looked down upon even with star athletes Kevin Greene, Dennis Rodman & Karl Malone headlining ppvs. Hardcore wrestling fans used to ***** in AOL chatrooms and Delphi Forums about celeb involvement. If you want further proof, no one outside of hardcore nerds watches AEW

    @ArcadeHorizons @virtualmage17 No immersion issue for me in the 80s, just 2 different atmospheres and that's it. In my opinion, lots of players hate AoL either because of a group effect (especially when it comes to Y-gen players and beyond) or because they didn't get its basic gameplay mechanics.

    @kejca I was an advisor for Merrill Lynch during the dot com bubble. Henry Blodget said, to buy Yahoo, AOL, and AMZN, one was bound to be a winner. So, it depends on which package you bought. Chris is generally right, MOST of those ‘winning’ stocks of that day turned out to be garbage.

    @CitysideFiber Might be the worst service I've ever had. Regret making the switch. I don't think dial up AOL was as bad. The amount of interruptions is excessive.

    Back in the AOL days I could hang out in the baseball chat rooms all evening. Now, I make one comment in on a post, just playim around & people get all fuggin serious & lecturey 🙄
