@gamescom PotterFanatic5 on the AOL Harry Potter board lol, I met my first online "girlfriend" there and we'd talk over AIM. Untill I saw a picture of her and never spoke to her again lol, that was rude in hindsight.

@RosemaryMosco I was around when the primary means of talking was AOL text-only chat rooms, and there was a lot of this infuriating crap even then.

@DavidDamato6 @OneMan223 @EBischoff by the Time Eric was ousted , Ted had lost control of his company to AOL/ Time Warner and Harvey Schiller let Eric go and 3 months later Brad Seigal brought eric back but the damage was done cause AOL didn't want to be in the "wrasslin " business and starved WCW financially

@DemonEvilMuscle @ReneusMeister @nodqdotcom Why didn't AOL/time Warner want it anymore? Bischoff had a deal in place to buy WCW if he found another network to show WCW. Why wouldn't any other network touch WCW? Was that AOL/time warners fault too? This "lost cause" WCW myth is funny.

@UrbanCryptoGang @Justin_Bons Meh. I lived through dial-up AOL where the network was always down. Web2 apps/games go down frequently enough or are unaccessible for upgrades. I see Solana as the mass adoption network for normies. Outside the crypto bubble I don’t think they’d care too much about downtime.

@EbKoizumi @garrettkidney Valid criticism, but there is more responsibility for TNA/Impact issues than WCW, IMO. Impact became “WWE Light” and not the upstart wrestling company that got a TV deal in the late 2000s. If AOL-Time Warner did not merge, WCW wouldn’t have shut down.
