When it first arrived — and I made a blog there within the first two months of its public existence — @tumblr was the near perfect blogging platform. Then AOL destroyed it. Now it’s a horrible jail where I can’t get rid of this dumb screen. Thanks @automatic.

I’ve been with AOL all my internet life. Just recently it keeps telling me my password is wrong; I put the same password in again & it’s alright for a while. Today emails appear then suddenly vanish, is @AOL trying to dismiss me. Help!

Sarah Solomon (@xSarahSolomon) reported from Camberwell, England
AGREED! Every kid except me had nice shiny internet...we were stuck with that shitty AOL dialup that we were only allowed to use to play Cartoon Network games on if we were good 🥴

Alan Walker (@ahwpgapro) reported from Loughton, England
@AOLSupportHelp We have been going around in circles and the reason I’ve tweeted my issue is I can’t get anywhere because we’ve done all the security Q’s and still 0 - I need to speak with a human being.....
-
Alan Walker (@ahwpgapro) reported from Loughton, England
@aolmail I’ve been attempting to retrieve my wife’s AOL password for the past 10 or more emails with your supposed email support. Its merry go round getting nowhere. Please assist.

Niamh Grimes (@NiamhGrimes4) reported from Goffs Oak, England
@AOL unable to sign into email for last week. No response from customer services. No one to talk to either😡😡Absolute joke. Important emails that I cannot access. AOL can you please get on to this. Beyond frustrating.

8/10 (@8outof10blog) reported from Barnet, England
@reece_dinsdale The other two are "Welcome to AOL: you're connected!" and "Goodbye...th-that's it." Damn I need to put these on my new laptop!
-
Dan Calladine (@dancall) reported from Wandsworth, England
@neilperkin You'd think they could find a fix. This used to happen with all AOL accounts showing up as 'Virginia' 20 years ago!
-
John Jansen (@thejohnjansen) reported from Camden Town, England
@teleject @meyerweb It kinda does though... With MSN Explorer (yes that was a thing in 2001, competing with AOL) we enabled "toast notifications" and the name was because "the little thing popped like the toast on the screensavers." Real toast never does that. It sits there. It sometimes Burns.

Sarah Pilates (@sarahpilates) reported from Camden Town, England
@1womanworkforce If he’s working from the aol ap I would delete it and reload. We had a problem with aol a while ago. The old Ap wasn’t working. Change the password just in case on your web version.

Mike Yardley (@YardleyShooting) reported from City of London, England
I was told by a rep ref. AOL: "it's a very old platform.." as if that was an excuse. If it doesn't work, they shouldn't take my money. @TalkTalk is a useless outfit too. I was called for months by fake Indian call centres after their data hack. My home internet sucks. @AOL @Ofcom

The sky will clear up soon. (@acoustics3303) reported
I mention this because the Heisei Gamera movies are another exception in the genre: I like most of the human characters in these films. Even in the goofier scenes. They help really ground the narrative and are super likable. Mayumi is super cool, as is Honami and the NTT in aol.

Larry Nemecek (@larrynemecek) reported
@TrekGeekBill I never liked it, no one’s ever settled into anything... some even argue now the TL existed before the Kelvin/Nerada fight... and it is also one letter from AOL. The hunt is really still on, if anyone ultimately cares. (ie, more than 3 flicks/6 hrs)

isaac (@isaac_wta) reported
We used to have AOL dial up and I would spend, I **** u not, 30 minutes to load Mistah Fab’s “Ghost Ride It” 3 minute music video.

@Post_Market @MikeSimanovsky @yliownyc So could you tell yahoo would be killed but not google. Or sun microsystems. AOL and so on. Nokia, motorola, blackberry vs apple. Even blockbuster is hard. They saw Netflix coming. They had a mail service, pivoted to streaming and so on. It's scary.

[undead] (@UndeadTiger) reported
@AOLSupportHelp New @aolmail app for Android is absolute trash. Interface is not user friendly, various folders & emails are lost, feedback feature won't even work. Fix it.
-
[undead] (@UndeadTiger) reported
@AOLSupportHelp @Adnilmonte I completely agree with OP, but the Give Feedback feature doesn't work due to some User Voice Error or something. Please take our complaints on Twitter just as seriously and listen to your users.

I’ve been on the internet since before AOL was a thing and this nonsense around the Bloomberg article about Sony and Days Gone is just a reminder that after all this time online gaming discourse is still the dumbest **** imaginable.
