@JezCorden It seriously changes games. For example I do not like Ghost Recon on my one X, I tried again last night, it’s garbage. Same game on my xsx I love it, can’t stop playing it. It’s like going from high speed internet to aol dialup. I will only play simple games on my 1x now.

@KGRII2 I’m old enough to remember when AOL never stopped installing updates.

@aolmail for a few months now I've not been able to setup AOL mail IMAP on my phone. It gives a login error to check email and password, but I can login fine through browser. What going on please?

@pierogiwitch @AFinalBoy @beenotbea If he was stealing AOL it would’ve been a login — this was still 2 years before America On-Line introduced flat rate plans and you paid like $4 per that you used on the service, plus whatever charges to dial in if there wasn’t a local node.

"We'll never get used to asking or announcing pronouns in conversation" We got real hip to it in AOL chatrooms. That's it that's the first IM: a/s/l

@Foone Those aol30* directories are likely all the same version—every time AOL was reïnstalled it would default to a suffixed directory, and they probably reïnstalled 3.0 a few times as a stab in the dark at fixing some issue with the client

Hmm I guess it could be l have been aol chatrooms, now that I've gone down this rabbit hole. But like that seems pretty wild for a random house in the "wrong town" to have. I'm insufferable. It was a good watch.
