My bank has a new website design that's forcing me to re-connect all my other banking accounts to it, and I'm very entertained at how you can track my banking history by which banks have a login that's just my actual name vs. which ones the login is my AOL username.

@AOLSupportHelp Hi. I’m trying to help my mum. All her old emails have gone overnight. We’ve checked filters. Then we looked in all folders including old email, spam, trash, deleted. tried signing in and out of the app, website, - no change.

@_cosmicangst It's beyond cliched to compare bad leadership to fictional villains, but his behaviour is astonishingly like the Sip Fel Fotch and crew from AOL/WW3

@aripap If AOL could figure out why they dropped the ball in AIM, I might consider reading the rest of their issues

@POTUS Any family situation, but you leave the single taxpayer out of the equation, because they can afford to pay inflated COVID prices for goods and services along with the surcharges and service fees, and the consumer can't fight back. If you are going to send more money to AOL call

@RandCorp_ @saifedean Money is one of those things for which the incentives align to have only one winner. That's because the nature of money is a network just like the internet. There aren't multiple internets. There's only one. Attempts to try (compuserve, aol) failed. Same is true for money.

@jsolomonReports I know folks want to blame someobdy, but back in the 1980s (before AOL or the Web) we had a saying: Don't say anything in email that you wouldn't want to see on the front page of the New York Times. Where did people get the idea that there's privacy online? Have we gotten stupid?

@TheHouseThatCr1 @d7b @AlexSaundersAU i understand the network effect. that's why we're all still using aol, copper telephone lines, and riding trains instead of cars the network effect is an effect. it has an influence. it isn't a law of nature that decides everything
