@ChrisBloomstran @elonmusk This is so silly. They have more $ than they can spend by about $2B/year. They would never consider GM. There’s no competition coming. This isn’t AOL, maybe LOL—if you’re referring to 🧊 catching up.

@RaidDadKale For the sheer amount of junk mail CDs they sent out alone, absolutely. They were also annoying for our Circuit City web team to deal with... lots of dumb revisions and tie-in promotions. The only thing good to come out of AOL was their free standalone AIM service. I do miss that.

@marklevinshow With all due respect, Mark, It's AOL. I had an AOL email address for 28 years. I couldn't take looking at their biased "NEWS STORIES" when I went on the check my mail. AND they charged me $27.00 to cancel my FREE AOL email account. AOL is a dinosaur..it's the WORST!!

@ravi_mangla @analiss @jhonnycharles88 AOL's Steve Case closed them down because he wanted WB to focus on media. They looted all the retail stores by selling the stock at half price, claimed it was a profit, then the next year WB had a record fall in profit margins, and the shareholders forced Steve Case out.

@TwitterSupport Hi Twitter, I have an old account that I need to delete, however the email I used for it was deactivated by AOL and AOL does not allow you to reactivate your email or use the same email address to create a new account. Can you please help?

@lorakolodny I remember those guys from the aol merger. I hope Kilar fires all all of them and burns down the culture there to the ground. I hate those guys so much.

my dad only used to rant on fb on his own profile and friends' posts. but now he puts his bad and wrong opinions in the replies of different news fb posts. he used to get into huge arguments w people on aol forums. disappointed he looped back around to smth even worse

@taco_x86 will probably have to catch folks at a con for talks over drinks for the best of it, but some folks that got in trouble and already served for the trouble have given some interviews about things they did (some was more AOL backend hacking than AIM)
