  • DevilWearsMAGA 𝔗𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔰𝔬𝔫 𝔞𝔫𝔡 ℭ𝔬𝔠𝔬𝔫𝔲𝔱𝔰 🤘🏼🗿🤘🏼 (@DevilWearsMAGA) reported

@SmokeyMagma @prchovanec I never used it, even though it was sort of the thing at first. I moved from Conpuserve to the web without festering in AOL. But then I was kind of in/going into that field (graduated college in 1995).

  • Baranga104 3D🦠 wid 2D🧩 🧩 = SARS-CoV-2 ? (@Baranga104) reported

@ales_frost Best wishes .👍.. Surely you would help not only yourself but others too. Some causative/s are amiss ... ❓limitations of "techniques or legacy methods" ? A query now more striking that "the virus enters brain via olfactory system" & hardly any traces of damage there ? 1/Aol

  • Shatter242 Shatter 💉💉P 💉M (@Shatter242) reported

@octal @TProphet Time share systems were really great central meeting places (the source) early on, as opposed to AOL which tried to be the entire internet. Telemail offering national (dialup access) email Addy in the 80s was also pretty wild, as long as you were on their service.

  • Varius20th Varius IX (@Varius20th) reported

@BeaversGod @FreeBeacon This. The internet was ruined when everyone started using it. Back when it just millenials on MSN or AOL messenger we all knew it was a joke. Then the hurt feels brigade rocked up and were shocked someone could anonymously call them a bad word and they had a **** fit.

  • GnarlySign Chrominati (@GnarlySign) reported

AOL chat rooms used to be lit this new social media **** not social at all

  • 0xArchitect Architect0x (@0xArchitect) reported

@AdamLevitin @BuffettNupe @jchervinsky 5/5 Crypto and Web3 with automated decentralised contracts will serve the role of Charley. We're not even in the AOL stages of this. Whatever is happening is the primordial ooze of what it will become. But it should be monitored and prosecuted when bad actors do bad things.

  • MichellyDav Michelle Davidson (@MichellyDav) reported

@prchovanec When I am inpatient with the speed of something electronic, I try to recall how long it took to sign in to AOL ...how long it took to open anything.

  • pmbAustin pmbAustin (@pmbAustin) reported

@jack @Daniel_Rubino Honestly, the internet started going to crap the moment AOL let all "the masses" get on. The intelligent debates in usenet gave way to the flame wars of idiots spewing conspiracy theories very quickly after that.
