  I used that name to on a game called Phantasy Star Online. I plugged a GameShark full of mangled code I copied by hand off some aol site. Big mess but got it to work well enough to kill other players or freeze their game by casting magic in brightly lit areas. Too many pixels? Games crashes, can’t render it. Problem was neither could my game! What to do? Lobby teleporter. Hit em with the grants magic spell just as you also click teleport back to game lobby server place. Ophelia 14. Place to be. I also robbed em all of their weapons. Then later gave them out to noobs for frees. I made a game and laid all my goodies in a pile and said take what you want. Fun stuff!

  @spencerpratt you don't know **** about business, Hollywood, or history. you're comparing apples and oranges. ALL the guilds oppose the merger. WHY IS THAT? mergers mean less projects, less competition, lower wages (and you somehow missed AOL acquiring Time Warner (and WB) in 2000

  Airtable just got acquired by Bending Spoons for $1.2B+. The company raised $1.4B in funding and was valued at $11.7B in 2021. It has $480M in ARR growing 20 percent and filed for an IPO five months ago. None of that mattered and $2.25B equity value barely clears the preference stack. Early employees and common shareholders split what is left after investors get their liquidation preferences back. Bending Spoons collects SaaS companies the way private equity collects distressed assets. AOL, Evernote, Eventbrite, Vimeo, WeTransfer, now Airtable. They listed on Nasdaq three weeks ago and this is already their first post-IPO acquisition. Airtable is not a bad company. $480M ARR and 80 percent of the Fortune 100 as customers is a good business. The lesson is that raising $1.4B at an $11.7B valuation in 2021 set a bar that no amount of revenue growth could clear. The preference stack becomes the ceiling. Basically it's another corpse of bloated valuations of that period of time. What Airtable would look like if it had raised $50M instead of $1.4B? Same product, market and ARR trajectory. At $480M ARR a $1.285B exit would have been a massive win for everyone involved. The money that was supposed to be rocket fuel became the weight that dragged it down. Also worth noting: Bending Spoons is an Italian company buying American tech at a discount. The narrative that European tech cannot compete is aging badly. It is just competing differently, not by building hype but by buying the hangover.

  @eyecewe @hthieblot It was a masterpiece. AOL, spawn of hell, bought out Netscape in 1998 & deliberately destroyed it trying to force people back to hell. Worst decision in internet history.
