    @realZenelan @ddayen All had access to online in 1996 was AOL chatrooms. LOL 2002-2009 was the heyday of message boards! I suspect they'll never come back simply because google changed its algorithms to bury everything interesting outside of the big tech formats.

    AOL must have blown a couple of fuses....won't let me sign in after repeated reset of password, so the mail is backing up, nothing but advertising anyway.

    @ShuttleJim Agree to not agree. People don't use AOL IM anymore is all. Plus you know lighting doesn't settle and it's the same as the current system but with btc. Agree on eth having issues.

    @teamspeak If I remember correctly, it was when I got stuck hunting some mammoth and try to call for help via AOL connection to my TeamSpeak.

    Compared this with some older corporate giants: AOL, blockbuster, sears, IBM, ExxonMobil, Ford. Not totally sure what to make of this. No doubt there were equally smart ppl at companies like Ford & sears, but they never innovated like Tesla & Amazon.
