    @timheidecker I am so entrenched with Spotify, for years now, mainly because I can't remember my AOL password, would need it to cancel my account, Facebook remembers it, but won't tell me what it is, can't believe it was 3 decades ago that I signed up.

    @woke8yearold @orthonormalist Companies can coast on past accomplishments long after they cease being capable of accomplishing anything new. Most of the tech giants laid the foundation for their success a decade ago and ain't done **** since then. I mean, Yahoo is still a thing. Ditto AOL.

    @EvrybodynthrMom @TeslaAndDoge This is just a dismally bad take. Bitcoin reached $1 trillion faster than any FAANG stock did. It has dominant network effects. It isn’t AOL, it has already won.

    Doubtful many will appreciate this, but... My father just asked me if I could “help” him create a new email. But, why, you ask?! He currently pays @AOL $30 a month to “retain” his from the late 90s! He never stopped using, or paying for it, in what is now the 3rd decade since!
