Something about the twitterverse today reminded me of when my father got rid of our normal ISP (probably AOL at the time) and signed us up for a service called something like "Catholic Online." He changed all the desktop icons on the computer to, like, tiny Jesus icons.

@notdan Its easier to comply instead of fight. They never give anything back. Ever. AOL Web 1.1 was the beginning of the end. Web 3.0 is where they just mine all of our rights and metadata. We are the product. Everyone will be their own Truman Show.

@austinmcraig No way, Yahoo is unstoppable at this rate, AOL has everyone and offers everything from chat, email, and even internet service. There's simply no way MySpace is going to lose, it's by far the largest social network. 😜

@pauliethesuit @ImSpeaking13 The last time I saved recipes to an App it suddenly shut down and I lost all the recipes. Since then I save all the recipes on AoL in specific folders:FOOD- Pork, FOOD-Seafood.. This way I can read them on laptop screen and send to others.
