  @_tinatruth Steve Bartlett explained financial bubbles in one minute. The AOL–Time Warner story is a powerful reminder that HIGH VALUATION IS NOT THE SAME AS REAL VALUE. It reminded me of something I wrote on August 17 on my post 👇 A GREAT ASSET doesn’t automatically make a GREAT INVESTMENT. Pay too much, and your returns can suffer. Allocate too much capital, and one mistake can damage your entire portfolio. That’s why I believe good investing isn’t just about choosing the right asset. It’s about paying the RIGHT PRICE and sizing your position wisely. The AOL–Time Warner story didn’t teach me that lesson. It reinforced it.   This really is a bunch of cool people were living in society. Everything was fine but Nerds weren't allowed to be part of cool stuff. Then they made the Internet, AOL, Myspace, ig, fb, snap, twit, yt. And people believed Nerd stuff was cool . Comics are cool. Digital comics suck. VHS are cool. Netflix sucks CD in a car & LPs in a room cool. Spotify sucks. Social at a coffee shop in 90s cool. Starbucks sucks. Bookstores have babes. Amazon does not. Disney stayed Disney and held the line. The rest fell into digital dust. Meet a friend for coffee. Ask a girl to be somewhere at sometime and see if she shows. That's the intro. Don't text her. Write her a letter if you miss her. Get back to the Basics. I did and my life is far better away from the chaos of chasing the World.

  @lithos_graphein @brockpierson Love it, fond memories of my BBS days. I was one of the first in my area to get a meg drive for my Commodore 64! I still dream of the sound the modem used to make. Then the Prodigy service came along and soon after the mass mailing of AOL disks! That was the end of most BBS’s
