@DidymusBrush @YouTube Can you link it in Google admin panel? If you’re known to Google there, it may help you. Having an expired aol account would be a reasonable reason for leniency.

@drguthals That’s awesome - was it AIM or full on AOL? Similarly, my wife and I originally met on the Prodigy service - early discussions were all email because long distance calls still cost money back then. :/

aol decided to kick me out of my account and since I just changed my phone number, I can’t get back in! And apparently they won’t help anyone with password help unless they pay!!! and that’s the email that I need to get back into my laptop in two weeks.

@Jason_Horton @ThatBrenna i do and get weird looks when someone needs it and @aol.com is never a shortcut button on stuff. also the web interface sucks bad. i cannot recommend it in good faith

@Foone AOL chat rooms did not, AIM did way later on, and was the first mainstream instant messenger to support it that I’m aware of, but some slate article says MSN messenger (lol) had it in 1999.

Make sure you’re sending queries from a modern email service provider, like Gmail or Outlook. Signed, a person who started by using AOL and had my query and sample pages botched because the formatting didn’t translate well.
