On a fateful spring day, King Charles of Naples fired up his Packard Bell, and tried to log into AOL. However, the signal was busy. He tried another line, then another, with no luck. Everyone in the kingdom was online that day, it seemed. The only line left was through Palermo.

@CarniolanLeshy i truly love this kind of low pitch barely music adjacent nonsense sounds. like i remember enjoying listening to slowed down (to 1/4 speed) aol dial up sounds, it s almost beautiful.

@0xHyperbart It's forgotten that before AOL and Google very few people used the internet and it had a really bad reputation of scammers and hackers. This changed over time with more users more webpages etc.

@AltcoinDailyio Price trend doesn't matter in the short term as much as fundamentals. Google was undervalued compared to AOL and Yahoo in its time. Cardano is following the same path. Watch us and tear in dispair as we win and you get left behind. $ADA can even go lower and I'll never sell 💪

When I was a teenager I was more angry than horny. I never went to AOL chat rooms to cyber I went to go talk **** in the chat room "Mexicans VS. Puerto Ricans." Somewhere in the Bronx there's a probably a hit list with my old screen name "AztecWarrior666" on it.

Bring back AOL. Everyone thinking they are hacker is some lame ****.

  • CTLiotta CT Liotta (@CTLiotta) reported

What do people over 60 do to their computers to make them run so slow? It's not like they're gaming or doing graphic design. I swear my mom has spent 6 months looking at AOL on Edge on her new laptop, and now it creeps like a 1995 Pentium.

  • sharkfrenzy ⚡️ (@sharkfrenzy) reported

@gwestr AOL failed cause they doubled down on dial up and thought their customers would stay. They didnt innovate, they didnt believe people would need anything faster than dial up, because they thought internet was email and news articles and no more. Does this sound like Tesla?
