@edwebb51 @BlackYellow It was a challenge to get updates back then. I listened to Radio Deutsche Welle on my shortwave radio every Sat. I was also able to get Monday's edition of Kicker (1.5 weeks late). I had AOL but hard to find any Football, includ. Bundesliga news on the service.

I think it was 1992 when I was kicked off of AOL because someone came into a chatroom talking about wiping out the Jews and I suggested he'd have trouble wiping his ***, never mind the other. Everything old is new again.

GenX knows. We did the same thing but it was in AOL chat rooms & RagingBull. We knew it was fake but we dove in head first. Then it blew up and you know what? We ate crow, picked ourselves up and moved forward. You guys are gonna weaponize it for some stupid idea like UBI.

@birdwatch So in other words, you're also kind of doing some of the same thing as @AOL when it has members help monitor comments to determine whether or not they might offend someone before allowing them to be posted, but you're not going quite that far in the approval/editing process.
