there's a lot going on in this story, but among other things, the Letters editor must have been like "hey journalist, we got a letter from a self-identified teenager who wants to **** you, here's their personal AOL email address if you want to follow up"

  • ajb_powell Jamie Powell (@ajb_powell) reported

@SardonicaX just FTC mood music (vertical integration seems to be a no no), and TimeWarner-AOL issues the EU had during dot com

  • robsterwarrior MrRobster (@robsterwarrior) reported

@aolmail I have > a decade’s worth of #infosec and #cybersecurity experience. Especially blocking spam in large organisations and using SMTP content checking. Spam floods from known IP addresses, under your control to block. I am not a victim. And Bad actors = criminals. #stopthespam

  • queenjenkins Emily Jenkins (@queenjenkins) reported

@WilliamsonStrg So they think if someone screenshots awful things they allow in their group, that means that person is posting the awful things? Are they so unfamiliar with technology that they are accessing the web on land line using AOL dial up?

  • TheRavenArmed The Raven Armed (@TheRavenArmed) reported

@MoonKingKye This could help, or some AOL 500 hour discs

  • Michael_Flinn Michael Flinn (@Michael_Flinn) reported

@Clarknova1 As someone who's worked for Turner, AOL, TimeWarner, AT&T, and soon Discovery, you would know better than most how bad mergers go. Somehow, WB has survived all that.

  • bhaines0 Ben Haines (@bhaines0) reported

@BriLimitless This was a major problem when Yahoo and AOL merged 😬

  • LevellingDown Levelling down (@LevellingDown) reported

@robertsondcang1 @GBNEWS Why do you use your email address as your Twitter ID? An AOL email address at that! Not sure Holyrood tittle-tattle is your biggest problem, if I'm honest, mate.

@alex_shephard I remember when I was on the development team for Compuserve’s (failed obviously) assault on AOL in 1996 all the design people had Macs and the edit people had PCs and I thought that was wack. I hold JF in high esteem but I’ve never bought a PC
