    Verizon has sold AOL and Yahoo combined for $5 billion which is almost half of what it bought it for. It has sold it to Apollo Private Equity. Get this, these guys are the owners of the Venetian resort and casino in Las Vegas that's what it has come down to.

    Another morning where I wake up and my @Verizon #FIOS service makes my **** look like it came w 500 hours of free AOL Time to unplug/plug back in the craptastic equipment I pay to rent to get the service I was sold

    As expected, Verizon has sold Yahoo and AOL to PE. That was a costly, horrible & embarrassing experiment in content-land for them in recent years. I’ll withhold comment about the value of these sites in 2021, though.

    @DeaScott1 Okay, I’ll do that with Gmail. Another problem is that they are arriving in my gmail inbox, but as if they are aol & yahoo accounts, which I do not have. I go to aol & yahoo to sign in, just to verify, & an error message comes up stating that that email address does not exist. ❓
