Here’s the number nobody’s posting today: total Channel crossings in 2026 are down 43% from this time last year. Fewer boats. More people crammed into each one.   @Seeking72 19- also never had AOL. My first email address was for work, my first home one was a company called bigplanet.

  @HayleyWazEre Long story short, AOL and the largest business-to-business Internet Service Provider at the time (UUNET), were both headquartered here. Companies started laying a lot of fiber. This has been going on for 25 years here. They take a lot of water and power.

  It is a daily barrage of fake *** accounts online that all claim to want me, up until they ask for me to install an app and talk to them about a business opportunity. I am so damn tired of this new internet. I want to go back to AOL or even Prodigy, maybe even Compuserve.
