  For ****'s sakes, it may have sounded cruel, but there's a reason why Joe Barbera wanted John K dead!! Hell, even Ted Turner himself hated John Kricfalusi's take (don't ask me why). If you ask me, the AOL Time Warner merger wasn't the only reason for Hanna-Barbera's demise.

  @anvilpw @LewisWetzel5 @themagaking Almost none. Some porn sites, which I promise you were not supporting the gov. 87 of the first 100 coimmercial sitres online wqerew porn related. AOL was news and entertainment. There was no Google. Yahoo came soon after. That gave us live chat. Also damn near kiled Yahoo, about seven or eight years later.

  @RealProductGirl My biggest problem with discord is it feels cutoff from the internet in some ways vs something like X. Like a how AOL wasn’t really the internet back I the day.

  @61Devlin @TheRajGiri It wasn't sold to WWF at that point-he lost power in the AOL/Time Warner merger before Vince bought WCW-why Jamie Kellner was able to cancel wrestling being broadcast on the network. Schivaone would no longer have been there after Vince bought it either-he would have been home

  @BrianRoemmele As a part of the original AOL message board moderator's "team" (hundreds of us that never met...just online) from 1991 into late-'96, I remember seeing this ad during an in-house case study before released. I can't recall if there were changes from then to the final cut, but I do remember that the whole premise seemed too contrived - with a seemingly washed up 60s actor.
