In 1993, instantaneous electronic mail (or email) went mainstream with the help of AOL, Yahoo and others… 30 years later, using it is more of a chore than a solution to physical mailboxes. Spam. So much spam.

@CaptainElsie @GayKiwiDan 1 point for me. Never had an AOL email address. Born 1968

@WesleyKushner @HannahDCox Teens being in tumbler is where all of this started. You could've even have an AOL account until you were 18 when it came out. The real problem is not abused kids finding help on TicToc it's that deranged parents will push their kids into the worst parts of the Internet anyway.

  • Skeetz_420 Skeetz420 (@Skeetz_420) reported

I miss the good ole days... I got more excited from hearing the dialup connect or AOL saying, "You've got mail!" Than all your titties combined. Well, not completely true, and that smile, *******.... but err um yea... I miss your smile and face the most.

@Verizon @VerizonSupport your AOL team transferred my personal line to the WRONG BUSINESS ACCOUNT and now you won’t fix it because I’m not the POC. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?!? I’ve spent 5 hours today and NO ONE can fix this? I didn’t authorize this.

  • mystica555 Mike Hodson (@mystica555) reported

@ELCinemonster @JonPaula I'm going to have to say 0.5 for me .. I too never had an AOL account. But I did manage to ...utilize...my cousin's after he logged into TELIX Host Mode to upload me a file, and created a user account with a password that so happened to match his AOL password...

We tried out @Verizon 5G home internet over the weekend to see if it was the viable non-FIOS alternative to Optimum they tout it as, and I can honestly say I haven't had an ISP experience this terrible since AOL. As slow as dial-up, disconnects randomly multiple times a day. BAD.
