    @____Marcell When I was like 15 I wanted to get around AOL’s rate limit to message faster. I figured out how to watch network traffic and made my own client app before long. Rate limits were on the server, so then I learned how to make a server. That’s to say, dig into the format and code.

    It was a mess for AOL in the short term because their customers started complaining about busy signals because of the greatly increased popularity of accessing both AOL and the Internet through their service. As a teenager, I’d cycle between the different services to try them.

    @dougboneparth @AdamSinger Exactly. When you moderate your first IRC room, get duped by catfish on AOL, have an internet bf at 14... or being a blogger from a young age and creepy strangers would appear from nowhere. You learn **** quick: the internet is not your friend and social media is garbage.

    @laurabora99 @mcuban Nah, WSB has active discussions by individuals sharing their opinions about margin being a bad move right now. We don’t communicate over AOL lol, info travels fast.

    @stephensvideos Wow, that's cool --- so your vines were mostly bad dancing? Share any? Ha mine was either aol chat/bulletin boards.. but i guess if those don't count. Friendster/Tribes -> MySpace -> FB -> Twitter -> SO MANY that came and went / still here! I had like 230K on g+ lol
