@1Stop_Wrestling A poor financial infrastructure for PPV revenue..after the AOL merger, WCW appeared on paper to be a bad investment. In reality, with proper revenue streaming..WCW wasn't nearly as bad as it looked.

Never mind the fact that Ted Turner had no choice as to whether or not WCW went out of business as he was no longer in control of the company he created and AOL/Time Warner did not want wrestling as a part of their conglomerate. That was a very bad move by Mr. Khan.

@rivercitywriter @VincentPascual Besides just being a word salad the best I can assume you are saying is just stupid. It was created in the days of aol and prodigy, not for any sinister plan

Just spend twenty minutes explaining the Y2K crisis and the late 90's/early 2000's internet to a younger coworker. (Topics included AOL away messages, Neopets, and paper library card catalogs.) Guess I need to get my Metamucil and Bengay and head on down to Shady Pines.

@nikoexxtra I mean. Ratings aside, WCW only got into major trouble and taken off the air after the AOL/Time Warner Merger. If that hadn’t happened who knows how much longer WCW would’ve stayed on the TV. It wasn’t until Ted was no longer the top voice that WCW closed up shop.

@1Stop_Wrestling Anyone who says WWE had anything to do with it only saw the narrative portrayed on screen. It was 100% the Time Warner/AOL merge and the network hating wrestling. Ted loved it and as soon as it was out of his hands there was no hope.
