@proteinwisdom I'm not unconcerned about Amazon, Google, Facebook, et al, but I'm old enough to remember when AOL, Yahoo and MySpace were the big things. Hacking off half of your customer base doesn't seem like a good play, but we'll see.

Is $BTC in the process of becoming Netscape or AOL...is $ETH becoming Google? (asked from the idiot who rolled all my #ETH to #BTC Friday thinking it would make up for the massive recent underperformance...dumb move, apparently.)

@MorningBrew Microsoft buys Nokia for $7.2B in 2014, writes it off in 2015 for $7.6B (400M in restructuring costs) is pretty bad. Not to mention, AOL bought Time Warner for $183B - also terrible.

Verizon just selling off AOL and Yahoo when nostalgia culture is only growing in value and not even for a good price, 10% retention isn't bad but it's now inferior as a telecommunications monopoly to ATT on a corporate level over the long term not just as stock buys this year imo

  • Tth201 Thoar (@Tth201) reported

@NBCNews Poor investment. Yahoo and AOL lost their luster in the 90s.
