@thethrashpanda_ it was a massive shot in the foot but WCW Thunder, money problems (also caused by Thunder), and the Time Warner/AOL merger was just imminent death. regardless of how ****** 2000 was, WCW wasn’t supposed to die.

@Aiannucci Aol mail not syncing with your outlook/ any other 3rd party mail client? I had same issue. Had to take the plunge and get a gmail account.

@pcgamer Well, that doesn't surprise me much. Remember when Walmart tried their own internet service? It was just a reskinned AOL.

@jorah In the ‘80s we had to use them. If you used one service like CompuServe as a gateway for mailing to another service like AOL, you had to include them. As soon as those two realized that users were doing that, they both shut it down.
