Do you know what never went down like Facebook and Instagram? AIM. Good old AOL Instant Messenger. This further proves that the 90s were elite.

Wait, Facebook was down? What are the chances it would happen just as my 500 free hours of AOL ran out. Now I'm on the hook for another year for no reason.

  • MrsDenAsaan Michelle Franklin | Author | Elder Lich 🏳️‍🌈 (@MrsDenAsaan) reported

@JBonner71 He was the reason I continued watching. I can hear him now, shouting "So now that Facebook is back, should we cancel our AOL subs?"

  • deathbytang Jaylah is failing at the social media break 🖖 ᐰ (@deathbytang) reported

@WajahatAli @LeslieERANOW I use none of these apps. I don't feel the least bit deprived. It is possible. The only solution, & it is an easy one, is if most of their users leave in droves. People won't do it & I'm mystified. I mean who still uses AOL or MySpace? Their time has passed. #DeleteFacebook

  • Agent_Ely Ely (@Agent_Ely) reported

@CornelisFranke @j1breel @disclosetv Really, ow Facebook is it’s own internet service provider now? Wonder how much their internet cost. You might be stuck on AOL.

  • P_Fisticuffs PoliticalFisticuffs (@P_Fisticuffs) reported

@KyleKulinski I think breaking them up would be the best option. Why cement their relevance thru legislation? They can still fail because the people have fallen out of love with them. Remember AOL? Remember MySpace? Also the world doesn't need them. We've been without them for decades before

@Nymphomachy Actually, thinking about this for a hot minute, even if we go with 1981 as the oldest millenial, AOL IM hit in 1997 when they were 16 so right at the age they would be using it heavily. Almost all millenials have been on the unsafe big bad internet as kids.
