@swallja @PaulTassi ...was AOL bad? Were you alive when AIM was around? This attempt at analogy is laughable.

@HeatherAntos I need work so bad I'll be the office coffee boy. Having said that: email companies love to block emails. I lost out on opportunities and business deals because first Gmail auto blocked AOL domains, then AOL blocked Gmail domains. It's sometimes not the individual's fault.

Does @discord customer support exist or do support tickets get forwarded to an abandoned AOL inbox? Been waiting months to get my phone number verification fixed.

  • LucasNelson Lucas Nelson (@LucasNelson) reported

@cantcomputer I’m kinda shocked that your company would let you be a pen tester without first explaining how the internet worked to you. You were just lucky to have such an understanding client to help you out. Back in my day pen testers were expected to know both AOL and Compuserve!

Gen-X used to do this same **** on AOL but without emojis, memes, or gifs. And we ruled.

What was AOL? This is a serious question. I never used it and the Wikipedia page makes no sense. My first internet memories were via cable broadband on Internet Explorer. I started listening to the new ep of @yourewrongabout and realized that I have no idea. What was on the discs

@Howiie74 Come to think of it, they were experimenting with limited Internet since the very beginning. I just remembered AOL's dumbed-down Mickey Mouse interface. Always wondered why my ex step-monster was using it when you have the world at your fingertips.
