@ElitatheLibra And no one made the connection to, you know, Virginia’s horrible history. The tech boom came here in the late 90s. AOL used to have its HQ here. Between that and gov contractors, the area became very wealthy & much more diverse. But the diversity is more in the Eastern part 2/

@henluva @jpr007 AOL (originally) wasn't an internet company, that was their problem They had a proprietary system that worked with other members only & were extremely slow to include internet access. By the time they did, it was too late

@80strolls There was also Sierra Online. I don't know a lot about it, but I'm sure it had its appeal to Sierra game enthusiasts. But the AOL-maximalists never gave in.

@MissUnd79512530 @WhipLash347 @ronald_59 Well I did, links referring to a quantum programming language for quantum computing which is real versus this David Wynn guy, his .gov website comes up and down at the bottom an AOL email address makes it seem really legit. Tried to make sense of his “syntax” but it is nonsense.

@StephLandsman @TradingNation Tesla is not AOL. AOL was an internet service provider that relied on the phone lines and cable lines of other companies. They have no tangible products. Tesla has the products, the technologies, and in-house designed factories of the future. Tesla’s products also include solar.

@leadlagreport Yes, #Bitcoin will tank again b/c it lacks real world utility, slow speed, high cost, high energy consumption, not climate friendly, etc. Right now it's NetScape or AOL in 1999, enjoy it while you can b/c it's on its final farewell tour👍
