Got logged out of Spotify and apparently my account is associated with my AIM email (?!) which I obviously don’t know the password for, and I can’t even reset it bc AOL straight up doesn’t exist anymore, so wtf 😭

see computers in 80s felt mysterious and open . to interpretation then the pc era aol . alright still felt free then the network idea . now it works fine . but .. not mysterious anymore thats the trade off . your either the early hal days like that . or your the booco mini

My poor ears man. There was a constant loud noise at work today and my hearing was already shot, but now in addition to the never-ending ringing, I hear a wee woo wee woo we wooooo in my right ear like the damn AOL log-in noise. Make it stoooooop 😩😩😩

@SisSpooky1013 ...shared with her husband my Uncle Charlie (baby boomers!), the aol one they used to send stupid jokes and info about the family reunion... and my Aunt Rose told me that my story, oh god, made her...it's so horrible! I can't even type it... squirm. Ewwwwwwww.

1. Story behind the username. OK SO many moons ago there was a disney channel movie based off the book The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. The bad guy of that used the handle Viper. When we as a family got AOL dial up, parents asked me what name I wanted. I said Viper.

@peced He retired in disgust when Netscape was bought by AOL, so he predates the worst of the damage and was at least not an enthusiastic contributor to it.
