@catcontentonly really proves millennials had it best when our cringe was all splurted out in aol chatrooms to a only a couple people at most. The poor teens of today have to broadcast all of their adolescent cringe

@JillWohlner AOL. Worst interview ever. I'm glad I didn't get hired. That place is probably a nightmare to work at. The first interviewer took one look at me. Didn't ask me one question. Said excuse me for a sec and walked out of the room.

  • jdowdell John Dowdell (@jdowdell) reported

That "Section 230" debate, about whether web services are neutral networks like post/phone or publishers with an editorial view, goes back a long time to AOL and Genie era. Was never sustainably resolved. Like "How can a brand be a person on social media"... just never addressed.

@AOLSupportHelp I am trying to close my account and the online route won't let me and said I had to call customer service. I did and the rep unhelpfully told me to try the online route. When I said that didn't work, and what she was telling me wasn't working, she hung up on me.

What is the over-under on AOL buying OnlyFans and turning it into a streaming service for Refrigerator Repair People.

  • gwestr Greg Wester (@gwestr) reported

it was so much more believable that people would subscribe to "Internet TV" with an AOL Time Warner cable box than it is believable Tesla will run a transportation network of subscription cars that have no drivers anyway, same catalyst and same ending. loose money, bad forecast

@Twitter we may not have voices to speak and force you to stop shutting our opinions based on vague reports.... But you know what??? I don't care... One day Twitter will be the forgiven AoL or MySpace.... Cuz they went down for their stupidity...

    q. what if you stop using a public IP for sending emails? then you won't have to deal with bad actors ******* up your reputation score and like AOL bouncing your **** a. we send 30 emails a day at most, it will never make sense to pay like $80/month for a dedicated IP

@WWEGUY4LIFE11 @AEW Why you follow AEW when your WWEGUY4LIFE? Looks like a damn aol screen name from ‘96 lol

I’ve been hit with the weirdest wave of 90s nostalgia right now; I miss my RPG fam from those days. We were teenagers spread out across the country (literally) and spend nights playing games together in AOL chat rooms. I miss that so bad right now.
