@xkcdComic If the OTP is from a token, getting several codes, along with approximate time stamps can allow you to solve for the algorithm that generates them and then create an identical OTP generation engine. I did this for fun with my coworkers tokens when I worked for AOL tech support.

Also, calling AOL support on the phone costs money. So, yeah, two different AOL recovery options that are supposed to work don't, and they want me to pay them money to get to one that does.

@MigTigMusic @joshbobrowsky People used AIM because it was offered with their internet access. Then AOL was slow to get into the broadband game and people needed cross-platform tools. For me, it died through FB and GTalk.

@NeuralStunner @dosnostalgic It's only been sold twice (initially to aol from 1999-2013 & the new lot have had it since 2014). It has basic streaming playback support but not the streaming service integration which most still using winamp do so because it doesn't have that in it.
