@iamjonjackson Yes all the time. There used to be an email service called Alto from AOL that did it automatically for every single email provider you had with you. They sadly closed the service down a few years ago

@_TheShiv_ I know for me it comes from the AOL/AIM days where (at least in my experiences) if you were online and available, you were being rude by not replying. That has 100% changed with the rise of async communication, but I still apologise for prolonged reply times

@SarahKSilverman Lucky. From my parents, I only got forwarded AOL email jokes imbedded within other emails that were at times embedded ten levels down from other elderly people which I didn't even know.
