@just_mindy Literally I’ve been called horrible names since AOL chat rooms. Been called a ****** and someone posted my work info online as well. It happens to everyone.

  • IssuesWoman Margaret Kelley (@IssuesWoman) reported from Hoover, Alabama

@katyrix1 @evansiegfried @TheRickWilson I have an aol email and I just let the haters hate. I did giggle when I saw hotmail though. Everyone wants to look down on someone.

  • AdamBidner Adam Bidner (@AdamBidner) reported from Hoover, Alabama

@AOC is as relevant as @AOL. Sure she’s slow but she tries to connect. #youvegotmail #56Kmodem

I think I may have been into Billy Strings if he had just called himself William Apostol. I never took him seriously when he went out there with an AOL instant messenger screen name. “First name + thing I like”

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Zero4711 Zero D. Phoenix (@Zero4711) reported

@pcgamer Ultima Online, then onto EverQuest. Go Gaia and AOL's Red Dragon were a blast, but never really filled the hole of MMORPGS.

  • Daniella_Dante God's masterpiece (@Daniella_Dante) reported

Down to 14 men, aol! 😩😩😩

  • CalGuy77 Mark Tea (@CalGuy77) reported

@XRPRippleRick @WatcherGuru Henry Blodgett (still around) and Grubman from the dot-com bubble days take the cake. Case who scored with the AOL Time Warner merger before AOL Went South is still active and just wrote a book touting his support for "mid America" local companies.

  • bonusmonkey1776 bmonkey (@bonusmonkey1776) reported

@NFHS_Org $11.99 for horrible @KSHSAA coverage. You streaming with @aol dialup form 1996?

  • chubbco Cotty Chubb (@chubbco) reported

@TedHope As a wise friend told me long ago, even before AOL most likely, email’s great for staying on top of things, but it sucks at getting to the bottom of them. Still true.

  • technicolorpie 🍪 fujoshi’s cookie 🍪 (@technicolorpie) reported

Pie being weird alert: Does anyone my age remember how there was a certain slowing down/low computer ‘working’ ticking sound when an IM window in AOL was incoming but hadn’t popped up on the screen yet? Did anyone else develop a Pavlov’s Dog endorphin release response to that?

  • dardar1126 Darlene I. Aigen (@dardar1126) reported

@Rosebud04 2 - the AOL email, owned encyclopedia (used, but never owned)

  • HeroicMarc 👈That One Guy (@HeroicMarc) reported

@Q104Halifax I'm old and I've never had MySpace or used AOL. I avoided those somehow.

  • bluheaven22 raymond morgan iii (@bluheaven22) reported

@PokemonGoApp The “fix” didn’t work. I felt like I was being booted off of AOL back in the 90’s. 😤🤯

  • TheJonUnderwood Jonathan Underwood (@TheJonUnderwood) reported

So I finally got on OpenAI & used ChatGPT. Holy **** is this a game changer. I haven’t seen anything this crazy since AOL chat rooms
