  • daniel_clift_ DC (@daniel_clift_) reported from Austin, Texas

I also found out, that he was lying to me and he had an AOL account that he STILL USES TODAY. He just didn’t want the spam and gave it me, damn... I got played...

  • yakshavers Maria Einhorn ✊🏼 (@yakshavers) reported from Austin, Texas

@castalia444 @BrandonStraka Nice talking point lifted directly from whatever AOL chat room you MAGATs hang around in.

  • davehendricks Dave Hendricks (@davehendricks) reported from Austin, Texas

@AriDavidPaul Yes, & making Crypto into email-quality ubiquity is a ways off. Iterations (Arpanet->compuserve/mciMail->AOL/Prodigy->yahoo/hotmail->Gmail) drove incremental improvements, took >5 years, even w/ more people focused on more acute problems before grandma-ready

  • brujaruca Nina (@brujaruca) reported from Austin, Texas

Somehow some skater dude I was all 🤤 over found me in an aol chat room and then asked me to be his gf. My dumbass said yes and then when I saw him in school the next day he was an ******* to me.😒

  • MatthewEJohns10 Matthew E. Johnson (@MatthewEJohns10) reported from Austin, Texas

@Angelina_JolieV Yahoo in Austin. Try AOL or Yahoo to help control YOU TUBE or TWITTER.

  • jvfriedman Pumpkin Spice Must Flow (@jvfriedman) reported from Austin, Texas

I remember reading Ender's Game in 1995 when my frame of reference was AOL and my school's internal BBS. The concept of a Locke or Demosthenes coming from the Seventeen message board on AOL was inconceivable. I'm sure many of those girls are now Q, so what ******** did I know?

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • stilescrisis John Stiles (@stilescrisis) reported

@houle @paulg @GoSuckaLemonn I think it's more like AOL--physical papers might still exist for a while longer, but mainly serve to bill older folks who can't be bothered to cancel the service.

  • GarveyinVenice Lisa Garvey (@GarveyinVenice) reported

@DanielleNicki i still have it...it's not the address that's the issue...it's the fact it's hotmail (apparently that makes me look old??? but whatever. it's not like it's aol)

  • Garyvjb Gary Blois (@Garyvjb) reported

@duty2warn How ridiculous. Millions use Twitter & others to exchange views, opinions, chats, keep us informed, talk crap, etc & on. & these internet medias frequently die out. Same end of America argument was made about AOL. Twitter is no different. US will survive, Musk owned or not

  • RHMoonHill Richard H. Moon (@RHMoonHill) reported

@DanielleNicki Combo of my dad's initials(he set up the AOL account, but I was the only one who used it), and a bad joke led to years of me being called HalfMoon

  • ReinertTed Ted Reinert (@ReinertTed) reported

Turning off HAL reminds me of the difficulty I had getting rid of AOL. I hadda go to a government agency, which supplied me w/a special number. And the final recorded msg at the end of Phone Tree Hell was a bass voice in SLOW MOTION! #TCMParty #2001aspaceodyssy

  • Manitou820 Manitou820 (@Manitou820) reported

@Esenbek_Aliev @brandenflasch Glad to help. I wouldn't invest in AOL. You should invest everything (even take our a second mortgage on your house for more cash) in Tesla and Dogecoin.

  • SOL_Redbeard Beard🦍 (@SOL_Redbeard) reported

The Future will be Multichain Consider this: When the Internet first came out, people were always talking about “which Internet company do you use, AOL or Time Warner” Nowadays nobody cares. It’s just “why is my internet is down?” or “how much do you pay for internet?”

  • OchiengJasper Jasper™ (@OchiengJasper) reported

@sangdebby The things running in mind are beyond imagination. Our parents gave birth to us. Then there's that process... ...... and now dad and son are drink from a common aquifer. How do you help a buddy! AOL!

  • 8r41ndr0p Dr. Scott Rheinhardt (@8r41ndr0p) reported

@ShayWoulahan Not enough circus clowns and drag queens I guess? SMH ... The point will be lost on them... as always. Gay people are just people and activists who are on the fringe are the worst representation for the gay community. Working at Planet Out (at AOL) I never saw any clowns.

  • ThyGeekGoddess 👑🆘Ms Former Beltway Resident Grant-Blackwell♊️♋ (@ThyGeekGoddess) reported

@RCdeWinter Reminds me of when AOL took over Huffpo and now Bezos owns Washpo!? It’s apparently the actual **** we’ve been going on about for way too long
