    @mjmarquardt @Lauderdale11 Could’ve swore in the documentary of WCW’s death they said one of reasons was when they made money, AOL spent it on other areas. Bad decisions was the other reason.

    For ****'s sakes, it may have sounded cruel, but there's a reason why Joe Barbera wanted John K dead!! Hell, even Ted Turner himself hated John Kricfalusi's take (don't ask me why). If you ask me, the AOL Time Warner merger wasn't the only reason for Hanna-Barbera's demise.

    @brockpierson I remember using Kmart's Blue Light internet when it first came out. Then later Walmart's rebranded AOL service.

    @Masterji_UPWale Same is true for my AOL email account, which I have had since 1994. I don't use it much and have amassed a lot of junk email, but there is never any request to maintain that account or buy storage for it.

    @RealProductGirl My biggest problem with discord is it feels cutoff from the internet in some ways vs something like X. Like a how AOL wasn’t really the internet back I the day.

    My mom passed on the opportunity to early adopt after Y2K never materialized. She still has the same AOL email address she had when she brought home that Compaq workstation.
