It's like CompuServe and AOL in the 90s, and boomers will try to sell it to you like it's great but it probably doesn't even stand a chance because it's all **** and there's a viable alternative send twete 🤡🍿

@kurtisbedford @azeem I totally forgot about that. And if it wasn’t for the AOL chat rooms, you and I never would have met.

@dragon_fortress I would get in trouble all the time for running up the AOL bill because I would log on after they went to bed and play until the wee hours

I can’t imagine coming of age in the era of Social Media’s internet. MY internet was just Google and AOL; these kids now gotta be ~performative as HELL to make up for an entire lack of identity — and holy ****, are they vapid. Must be stressful maintaining such dumb clownhood. 🤡

@TanQboy @DrEricDing @azeem I remember the CDs of free internet time from AOL Online we'd get randomly in the mail. We never did bother but I feel like it started at 100 hours and it got progressively more until like 1000 hours of free internet

@marshalllarson @jasonlk Technically yes, COGs is cost of revenue. If you are providing free service for marketing (assuming they convert in future) then it goes under ***. Remember AOL?

@Baligubadle1 This is seriously laughable. His ratings are so low he has to try and knock an opposing network and host. CNN will be as relevant as AOL in 5 years.

@WSJ Did you grow up in the era of the internet and never learn to use a computer beyond connecting to AOL and chatting with your friends? Then you deserve to be defrauded by your own kids for being ignorant.
