@medus4_cdc I do think there is significant potential to just look bad. I'd advise two things: Add some OBVIOUSLY retro elements like a Netscape or AOL logo. I'm not sure how to say it, but if you can do a tidy mess of Geocities. The awful retro elements, but actually laid out organized.

@mrwilliammedina I going to sound old right now I remember when I was in NYC I was on AOL chat rooms I met so many good guys they wanted relationship, but I remember a guy sayin he wanted a good ole down south boy something he couldn't get in NYC. **** I date out of my state what's a plane ride.

@garyblack00 @jfraese @elonmusk twtr has never performed very well in the 8 to 10 years I've been following this crappy company! they should feel grateful that Elon was interested. no body else came to the table to even express interest! when twx bought AOL, they wrote off this ridiculous buyout for years

@jo_bartosch 1992. We tried to download a photo of Worf on AOL on my colleague's 386. We got half way down Worf's nose and gave up.

Part of the difficulty is that most of the motivating stories about differential privacy focuses on anonymization failures. AOL, Netflix, Mass. health records, all of those are bad, but DP was a lateral solution to those problems.

Can someone at @TalkTalk tell me why my superfast Future Fibre runs at 0.5MB making it slower than AOL dial up? And why, despite several hours on the phone, after three months it still doesn't work! I won't hold my breath.

@novogratz Every crypto not bitcoin is **** in the same way that every “internet” not THE internet (eg AOL, Prodigy, CompuServe, etc.) was ****. Sooner or later you will come to understand this and build on bitcoin itself like how everyone eventually built on the internet.
