    @janedazey He‘s furious when he finds out everything has to be electronically mailed now, both because he can never remember his AOL password and because he JUST figured out how to properly use the fax machine!!!!!!!!!!! Years of mastering the damned thing wasted!!!!!!

  • codeye1974 Cody Bryan Shelton (@codeye1974) reported

    @Bikeboy61245316 @mtgreenee Keep this **** back over on Parler and aol, Lady. And while you’re at it, go knit a scarf.

  • Auzmodeus Ⓐᵘᶻ (@Auzmodeus) reported

    @Atfotraf @six_of_12 LOL. The only thing I ever did was help a buddy netbus his cousin. and on the rare 2? times I had AOL use some of the old hacking tools(cannot for the life of me remember what they were called)

  • tomselliott Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) reported

    @AppleSupport — It’s hard for me to adequately convey how awful Mail is; AOL on dialup internet was about 1,000x faster than this useless program. Any plans to ever make it usable?

  • BellissimoFoto Christopher Blumenshine©️ (@BellissimoFoto) reported

    @gordonkeith Consent to AOL? Never.

  • SnitchBrah President-Elect Snitchbrah, C’mon! (@SnitchBrah) reported

    @getongab Make your server not awful. Gab is AOL dialup.

  • PurityPony Malcolm Arkey (@PurityPony) reported

    @jakebackpack One thing I learned from the BBS/AOL era: Almost everyone who brags about something doesn't actually have it. The self-proclaimed "black belt triathlete" has asthma and a bad case of acne.

  • stevenson3529 Alexander Stevenson (@stevenson3529) reported

    @ThisIsNoahEvans To be fair I never used those anyway. My Gmail is just the address I use for signing up to things, I never read it, I have an AOL address for things I actually read

  • belghast Belghast ⚔️ Insufficient Mora 🛡️ (@belghast) reported

    @ComfortablyAdv AOL was an interesting place and had some really cool communities, but most users of that service had no clue the things they were paying for, existed for free on the internet. AOL chatrooms were just heavily moderated and sanitized IRC for example.

  • ChefEff ChefEff (@ChefEff) reported

    @belghast What's sick yet amusing to me is, people like to joke that "people should have to be licensed to use the net"...but the reality is, BBS' and Usenet schooled people in the etiquette. Tolerance for AOL level stupid was not to be found, and quashed with extreme prejudice.
