@BobQuarantine @MattWalshBlog I was hipper than you guys. I never had a centralized network provider. No Compuserve, no AOL, just raw internet from a dial up provider. First exposure, and I didn't know I was doing it, was a dialup to my sister's college to run lynx. Didn't know I was even on the net lol

@MattWalshBlog It was slow and tedious in the beginning. Encountered the web the same way. AOL at an associate's house. Really started using it in the fall of 1998.

@MattWalshBlog Yes. I was in 3rd grade and used my dad’s aol email account to send an email to my friend down the road. It felt like magic!!! Then I was yelled at to get off bc I was blocking the phone line.

Not sure if any dinosaurs are still walking around using @AOL for email but you should know if you need help with customer support they require you to PAY a fee before they will help you. What kind of customer service is that????

Right now I'm really thankful social media wasn't a thing when I was teenager and all we had was aol I couldn't imagine having such easy access to the **** I would have posted.

  • Ednever 🐂 Edward Nevraumont 🐂 (@Ednever) reported

@chrishlad Didn’t AOL pay for the acquisition in stock just before the crash? If anything this was more a terrible deal for TW than it was for AOL...

  • garywilsonet 新屋 將 (@garywilsonet) reported

I never even sent him my albums just kinda started throwing **** online once it got to The Rake Sometimes when you’re super close with someone you don’t need to turn it into words. And with that, I’m getting the hell off AOL for a bit.

  • COMETcapital Bruno (@COMETcapital) reported

@phil_geiger Correct thing to think about is Bitcoin vs other more efficient coins. It's being replaced. That causes entire valuation of crypto to go down as noobs realize risk fo AOL/myspacization is real. Buy price will be lower.

@MattWalshBlog I had been doing PC networking for businesses for years already using novell software and had been on bulletin boards, etc. A customer was laughing and yelled "you have to see this". So i went in and watched as the Aol sotware drew a picture of a woman in a bikini. it took 5min
