@AOL my grandfather is completely locked out of his account and I can’t get help because I don’t have “premium” services. That is absolutely ridiculous that I have to pay to just speak to an agent on the phone to help him get into his account that he is locked out of. Do better.

Alert: there was an unusual login at the time you usually log in from an unrecognized device that’s exactly like your home computer in a strange location within inches of your home address. Provide your AOL Instant Messager password to continue…

@BowTiedOx This year I’ve used the TreasuryDirect site probably 50 times working with clients because of I bond rates and every time I feel like I’ve been teleported back to my childhood in the 90s. They *just* updated the landing page but everything past login is AOL-era.

@notbunjil WTF happened to those apps where you used to be able to put ICQ, AOL IM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, etc, all into 1 app? Surely that can still be done today by someone with all of the current ones. Hell, most of them are part of Meta. Then you got Twitter and Telegram.
