A lot of companies participate in M&A, whether as the buyer or the seller. It’s too bad too many companies use M&A to buy the past, versus buy the future. In 2000 @aol bought @timewarner for >$180B, to this day one of the largest M&A deals ever and one of the worst.

@SportsCardInv you got a damn impressive video / production crew. Many of the other shows appeared to be filming / recording their shows from @nsccshow on a flip phone with 1999 AOL dial-up Internet.

@MouthCrayon @KittenTBritche1 @priceoreason There where plenty of places to get video before YouTube was even an idea. VOIP radio goes back to 1996 at least. AOL had rudimentary streaming that never worked quite right.

@ryanjfrederick @JD_Oliva I was on RSPW and AOL. I’m sure people were getting stuff from the Observer but I was getting it from there directly. I never even heard of the Observer until much later
