I feel like this is prime time for someone to just revive or reinvent MySpace or AOL chatrooms/AIM because as a nostalgic millennial, I want to seek familiarity, but I also still want to talk about random crap with strangers like on Twitter

  • noonesfo Katie Smith (@noonesfo) reported

@GovofCO What's horrible is he likes of NBC and AOL making their articles about the shooting all about you and your partner. It should have been about the victims not about your life

  • necksnappa necksnappa (@necksnappa) reported

@3YearLetterman @elonmusk Guess you never heard of MySpace. Or AOL.

  • 0xBender bender (@0xBender) reported

@_AeroStones_ yes, the same way you can believe that the internet is the future while thinking AOL or Netscape are bad products of it

  • EatBig_PoopBig Overrated, Obsolete and Uncouthe (@EatBig_PoopBig) reported

@TheDailyCowman No one shed a tear when aol shut down, nor did they give a crap when myspace died

  • Hi_Cial 🦤 peent (@Hi_Cial) reported

@LiteralGrill theres def corners that feel like that. but knowing i can post "**** terfs" and no one can make it be taken down no matter how hard they try is pretty nice. it just seems a lot like the AOL chatrooms where like, you need to ask your friends where the good ones are

  • robinhobb Robin Hobb (@robinhobb) reported

I have left fossils of myself everywhere on social media. AOL online, MySpace, Tumblr, etc. So I never really left, I just became extinct there. And so it will probably be with Twitter, but I just don't have the steam to go looking for a new location.

@ESPNNFL Cmon man - get this DAMN GAME RIGHT ON TV or get back to the USA. YOU CANT F THE MNF game THIS BAD ( aka are you AOL) ?? 🤬🤬🤬

  • chill_boston Chris Hill (@chill_boston) reported

@NytReview My only real complaint about today’s puzzle (6D) is that AOL was not a NYC company. (Maybe kinda sorta, for about about 5 minutes, after it disastrously merged with Time Warner). AOL was a DC/Virginia suburbs company.

  • DKinMN elo is better than the beatles (@DKinMN) reported

The first livestream concert I ever saw was a Counting Crows show on AOL, I believe lowered by RealPlayer. Audio was bad and poorly encoded, and the video was an extremely pixelated slideshow of one picture per 5 seconds that were about 30 seconds behind.
