@CornelisFranke @j1breel @disclosetv Really, now Facebook has is it’s own internet service provider? Wonder how much their internet cost because I totally didn’t know that. You might be stuck on AOL.

  • GypsySoulNancy Gypsy Soul Nancy (@GypsySoulNancy) reported

@KerbyNancy @haveaconcern @BreedonBarbi The spam mail is out of control. I have an aol account since the days of dial up. AIM was the messenger service which is tied to my aol account which gets tons of spam. I can’t delete aim account without deleting my main account.

  • radiokevin Kevin McKay KMK (@radiokevin) reported

What's all the hubbub? I was on my AOL all day with no problems. #facebookdown #instagramdown

  • deathbytang Jaylah is failing at the social media break 🖖 ᐰ (@deathbytang) reported

@WajahatAli @LeslieERANOW I use none of these apps. I don't feel the least bit deprived. It is possible. The only solution, & it is an easy one, is if most of their users leave in droves. People won't do it & I'm mystified. I mean who still uses AOL or MySpace? Their time has passed. #DeleteFacebook

  • FlashnThunder Coffey T. Judd (@FlashnThunder) reported

@AndyMackReports I don’t recall having this problem with AOL.

  • LetsmeatDelRay Let’s Meat on the Avenue (@LetsmeatDelRay) reported

@scalzi And we’d have gotten away with it too, if weren’t for meddling AOL and it’s damn WebTV!

  • joltofimpulse E. (@joltofimpulse) reported

Do you know what never went down like Facebook and Instagram? AIM. Good old AOL Instant Messenger. This further proves that the 90s were elite.

  • _crobot_ 🤖 (@_crobot_) reported

@NeolithicSheep And yeah, we had to navigate shock sites, toxic forums, chan ****, creepers in AOL chatrooms, etc, that's true. But to acknowledge all of that and then hand wave away "okay well sure, okay, social media is different" like that's NOT a massive distinction seems disingenuous.

Back in the day, I did tech support for AOL, so I have some institutional knowledge. Just a thought, Facebook. Have you plugged the phone line into the back of the modem?
