    @ArmandoNDK So long as he doesn't destroy it first. AIM, which had a huge user base, was shut down by Verizon in 2017. That was several owners after the AOL Time Warner debacle, though.

    @TheJatana @elonmusk In 1998 AOL was $20 p/m and everyone paid. Maybe those complaining about verification purchased their followers and worry about scrutiny. How little does it cost to buy followers? What other service do you get for free?

    @MarkWillard85 If any social media company was going to test a subscription service it would have been Meta since Facebook is filled with old people who are still paying for AOL.
