    @nickroberts317 AOL didn't have any parental restrictions, but it was super slow. When I was 10 my cousins who were also 10-11 showed me some adult entertainment when their parents were out of the house. That's how I learned how babies were made.

    @TankieMcgee That was such a satisfying feeling when things were connecting and the lightning bolt made it through the three little boxes on the AOL interface. It meant I could look up stuff about THE X-FILES and get into trouble in chat rooms....

    @DrunkenCrunker Met someone in an AOL chatroom in '99, ended up living with him almost 3 years. Never been in love like that before. Sadly, he was a narcissist with a volatile temper and I had to leave for my own well being. It was heaven for a couple years, then it wasn't.
