@MuldoonMartin @kevinolearytv Comparing Bitcoin to AOL is a bad analogy. The entire internet was built on top of TCP/IP because it was an open network. Comparing Bitcoin to TCP/IP is just about the only realistic comparison you can make.

  • ShannonKilpatri Shannon Kilpatrick (@ShannonKilpatri) reported

@saoliver1051 I submit that an aol email address is the worst.

  • Scissors60One Elias Lugo (@Scissors60One) reported

@SparklngCyanide @Apple Can't remember the model number, but it was a cheap crappy HP Pavilion my mom bought at Walmart in the early 2000s. Still had a floppy drive and a lil cubby for my AOL CDs on top. Ran Windows Me. Piece of crap. But it was MY piece of crap.

  • Nonfinality Stephen Hardwick (@Nonfinality) reported

@420AttyChicago @saoliver1051 @BruceGodfrey Maybe. But maybe not how you mean it. One of the best private criminal defense lawyers in this state has an AOL address. And you’re right because if a prosecutor gets an email from her AOL account, they’re in for a terrible time.

  • 420AttyChicago Bronouns Before Pronouns (@420AttyChicago) reported

@saoliver1051 @BruceGodfrey Corollary: If OC has an aol email address...you are in for a TERRIBLE time.

My dad died & I'm trying to use his @aol. WHAT A NIGHTMARE.Ask a simple question, #AOL sells you garbage non-stop. I had to force it to go to @Google to get a straight answer for anything. AOL is the WORST!!! I'm showing mom the light. No more AOL for her!

Super on-time, super hot take: Companies that say they're building The #Metaverse, ain't building ****. Not Epic, Feta, AOL, or your fav #crypto #DAO or startup If they say they are building The M-word... You don't build 'The internet' you build (ubiquitous public good) products

@benniejvr I’m not convinced that other cryptos need bitcoin to survive. They need it historically, but not so much moving forward. That’s like saying the US couldn’t exist if England failed, or if AOL failed, the internet would fail
