@jonmoxIeys @rachelprobably I feel so old. I remember when I was a tween on AOL's message boards in the late 90s. Got suspended for two weeks for calling a Flyers fan an *******.

  • crywank420 cecilia³² (@crywank420) reported

What's your AOL? Do you wanna hang out after school?

  • mfourdraine Michael Fourdraine (@mfourdraine) reported

@threathuntergrl I never got and good SWAG when I worked at CompuServe / AOL. It would be 2 sizes too small anyways if I had.

  • DuoMaxwell003 𝙳𝚞𝚘 𝙼𝚊𝚡𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕 (@DuoMaxwell003) reported

What they don't tell you: Destiny is running off of old AOL servers that haven't been updated since the 90s. Maintenance is preformed using AIM from a remote location that is ever changing depending on the day and time. Only when the star align is there no issues. They haven't.

  • Too_Good2BTrue Lincoln Warshington (@Too_Good2BTrue) reported

@Stevephenni @ChrisBloomstran How would it differ from any business strategy, e.g. TimeWarner merging w/ AOL or Verizon buying Yahoo? Bad decisions. But if everyone knows what is happening, isn't it just a business decision like any other subject to some baseline reasonableness/good faith standard?

  • RangerSpa Spa Ranger (@RangerSpa) reported

@Leerzeit ETH is done! Just like AOL was to the DotCom days, if ETH doesn't get its s#*t together, it will one day be compared to AOL as the first generation 'crypto dinosaur' with extremely slow transaction times and ridiculously expensive gas fees.

  • HotepWarui 悪い🏴 (@HotepWarui) reported

@zerohedge This is the same stuff they people told us as a kid when dealing with AOL, Yahoo, and MSN Messenger chatrooms. **** just goes in cycles.

  • GNolan01 GNolan (@GNolan01) reported

@frankiebee83 Yes it is. I pay $4.27/month for AOL Gold. I started with AOL back in 97. Still like the format, but I usually use the online address location. AOL Gold is a little integrated intensive to use, but guess support AOL with the monthly payment?

  • bob37005339 TheGovernmentHatesYou (@bob37005339) reported

@glaksmono No, just think about other systems. Solana is, has, and never will be decentralized. Aol 3.0

  • mikepsilva Figuring Out Money (@mikepsilva) reported

@denismiamibch @Davidco62164316 Idk, probably the same reason Apollo Global bought AOL and Yahoo from Verizon media shortly after VZ acquired those brands. Or even Elliot acquiring Barnes and Noble after a horrible year. When big brands go on sale, others look to eat them up
