@UTChicago Kept my original AOL email address to use/give to people or businesses I don’t want contacting me, gave it to a store clerk and she said”what is AOL? Like..um..Didn’t they go out of business like 20 years ago?”….NO, take the damn email address and shut up

@preston_hodl @alexjohnward @BitcoinIsaiah The free market backed AOL, Yahoo, bebo etc temporarily. I said they were ****. I won. The attitude of maxis is identical to that of all the other failed enterprises that reached the top but couldn't stay there because they refused to address fundamental flaws in their model.

You know damn well that if Ted Turner had any say at AOL Time Warner, #WCW would have been given another 2 or 3 years to rebuild under Bischoff & start capitalizing on the DVD market. We'd be in a much different world. But WCW was such a toxic brand that it didn't matter

@EliIMPACT Aol/Time Warner were willing to do pretty much anything to get rid of wcw and out of the wrestling business so they sold it stupid cheap. Sinclair still cares but if the right amount comes their way, they're willing to let go

@axelroark Netscape seemed pretty damn good at the time (1992, or so). Helluva lot better than AltaVista or AOL.
