Spent afternoon w/one of my Scrabble ladies She got a new computer Needed help getting things set up She was especially happy to get her Verizon email via AOL set up This is a thing because Verizon quit email business so people have to use AOL or Yahoo to get their email 🙄🤓

  • AtDoak Clark W. GrisNole (@AtDoak) reported

@420apestrong420 @My_friend_Mocha LOL - that is still the worst piece of advice I've ever seen on Social Media - dating back to the MySpace and AOL chat days

  • chrysicat Chrysi Cat (no, Karen is STILL my sister!) 🏳️‍⚧️ (@chrysicat) reported

@Nightshade386 @shailo_sator @variableaus And now it dawns on me that I have to check to see if I ever turned off the auto-pay for AOL that I kept up after we got broadband so that I could still use dial-up in a genuine emergency.

  • bindingrod Dani K. (@bindingrod) reported

@cattydragons And when I became an adult having an account was free, so I did for awhile, and I still have an AOL e-mail I use for Bub's game stuff even though the service itself is... like five bucks a month or some **** now. Without AIM it's useless.

@BonVoyaged_ This quiz is marking ones wrong that I got right. The AOL Running Man, The Chic-Fil-A Cows, Coca-Cola Bears, StubHub Ticket Oak, and Icee Bear. Fix your quiz!

  • MaybeKindaPetty Hot Box from Sing Sing (@MaybeKindaPetty) reported

@charlieputh sure complains about breakups and heartbreak a lot for a guy who is literally never ever photographed with a woman/date/love interest. Where's he courting these women? An AOL chat room, like hey a/s/l?

  • jeremysmuller Jeremy (@jeremysmuller) reported

@RyVolk @carterforva Ah those were the days when the household yelled at someone to get off the phone so you can use dial up AOL only for it to never connect 😔

  • bindingrod Dani K. (@bindingrod) reported

@cattydragons This was in the days of like AOL 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, when AOL had active chat rooms and an Instant Messaging service.

  • wintersong Winter Tashlin (@wintersong) reported

@andrewkrok Same to both of those! Also, had an AOL account before AOL added access to the World Wide Web through their service (unless that was our Prodigy account).
