@SalilMalkan Web - Read (Curated AOL content, corp websites) Web 2.0 - Read & write (Flickr) Web3 - Read, write, & own* *on a distributed DB where your public key is listed as owner. And the database is extremely slow, and it costs $200 to write. Making it only useful for pyramid schemes.

  • NerdGirl2021 NerdGirl2021 (@NerdGirl2021) reported

@SgtJames13 I would do that if it weren't linked to my paystubs and personal benefit info. I *have* to have access to them. But I used an old throwaway AOL email, at least. None of their damn business what my actual, personal email is.

@astralnautss @Mr_A1Hunt Tell that to AOL and Blockbusters. The free market never finalizes a decision. It is constantly re-evaluating.

  • starcade Starcade (@starcade) reported

@KyleOrl I was simply "Sean" on AOL. I got involved with them while the service was in beta and was jointly operated by Apple. People were always contacting me asking if they could buy my screenname 😐

  • MoseyDm Jingle Mosey - getting a jump on Xmas names 🎅🏼 (@MoseyDm) reported

@NevernotDM Hopefully just “pay with common crypto”. If it is bigger and more terrible someone else will take the KS spot. We all once thought one one could dethrone Yahoo!, MySpace, AOL, Tumblr, etc. When companies make big mistakes other companies flourish.

  • natehowe Nathan Howe (@natehowe) reported

As a freshman, I had a hand-me-down 386 PC with Windows 3.1 in my dorm. To use the internet, I'd walk a block to the campus computer commons, where I could use AOL Instant Messenger.

  • ItsMCFoo ?? (6-7) (20-7) (not so manic fins fan) (@ItsMCFoo) reported

**** *** **** @Xfinity yall charge more than anyone yet constantly having problems, im taking my talents to AOL where they know how to provide real internet

  • LifeWithJohn Inspiration by John 🎄❄️ (@LifeWithJohn) reported

@ArlenaRio I have an AOL service. I marked the mail as spam. Then they gave me the option to unsubscribe. Each service is probably different. Good luck!
