    @tokthadada I fell for some long distance dial-up site, when my AOL would connect …. It was charging long distance calls to Vanuatu 🇻🇺 … all so i could beat to some terrible low quality videos, wayyyyy too horny …. The phone bill came and my Dad almost killed me

    @AOL just tried to get me to pay for a service to change my password to my account when I could do it myself. But guess what their website crashes when I try to execute this option. #gotogmail

    @aklingus There was like a 6 month period in the mid 90s where AOL chat rooms were a fun place to hang out… and when you started a convo with someone you’d have to rapid fire emails back and forth because there was no private chat or instant message system

    @aklingus One of the more common ways households got internet service was to use discs sent through the actual mail by AOL (you know, the defunct instant messaging company) in order to get a free trial.
