I used to engage with people from all walks of life in aol and yahoo up until I chatted with a man that said he would like to chop up a woman. Freeze her and eat her. WTF?!

👆 i can't remember, but i don't think the first version of AOL even supported direct user access to TCP/IP directly maybe some old fogeys like me can help me jog my memory?

we are 100% in the AOL era of public blockchains: - using them is slow and can be expensive - exponential improvements coming - corporate participants want to fake open & permissionless, but have not truly internalized the web3 user-ownership value proposition

@JennaJones0123 @todd_artacc @MazingSand And my "nice laptop" is sitting the bed. It takes 5 minutes to open a picture file. And it's from 2017. The processor is crapping out and the internet is AOL dial-up slow being in the mountains. I'm working with broken tools. But I do what I can with what I have.

@DataNFT_ I turned on Kazaa at 8pm and hoped for the full album of songs to have downloaded when I woke up. (It never did - at least one had failed.) I had a GeoCities. I pasted code into MySpace to have a top 12. I flicked AOL cds at friends. I typed 143 to mean “I love you.”
