    @AUJ1F @jeremy_soller I kicked myself for leaving AOL 3 days before the national announcement was made to close all America Online Support Centers. Every active agent was given a high severance package and than wipped from existence. We worked out of Maitland a 3hr drive from Lakeland in a Scion XA.

    @FoldableHuman And also, people DO want a cool VR world to mess around in, that's why VRChat is so popular. They don't want it spearheaded by the worst people you can think of. The internet would suck if it was led by like...AOL.

    @The_DoctorO @misaalanshori03 Winamp could have been more but instead they chose to sit on it's development. I've seen this happen with a shitload of excellent apps. The original owner sells it for large amounts of cash not thinking at the time about their app. Nullsoft should have never been sold to AOL.

    @arielmtspeaks I’d like to think this kind of thing is wholly accidental. But thinking back to how hard it used to be to cancel things like AOL/Prodigy/whatever? “It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.” Always has been.

    Dumb story. As a kid I made an aol email to keep in touch with my aunt. One day I got an email saying “ILOVEYOU” from a “secret admirer” but since I was like 8 I kinda ignored it because who ******** would love some dumb kid in Cali. So being a dumb kid saved my family comp
