Just got spam called by SiriusXM. I still have no idea why they exist for anyone outside of a few long haul truckers. They are the AOL dial up service for fiber optics and 4G phones. They're the cassette tape slot for your Tesla. I'm boggled by them.

@ChannelSonamy Except… the fan girl notion has been around since FAR FAR before issue 290. Back in the late 90’s she was being called a fan ******* old AOL and yahoo chat rooms and forums. Even fan sites.

Taxpayers are paying a fortune for the use of his name in really stupid AOL deal?

  • Watchingwheels7 Watchingwheels7 (@Watchingwheels7) reported

@sal_licata Old guy @craigcartonlive doesn't understand that we have computers now that don't require AOL dial-up and something called Comrex. Wtf is the point of spending the graveyard shift in Hudson Square? Plus I like BNNY on @SNYtv , or I did until I had to drop overpriced cable

  • FollowUpNewsGuy Follow Up News (@FollowUpNewsGuy) reported

@emollick Is it impossible to ignore the trolls? Back in the day of AOL chat rooms we just ignored the trolls. When nobody took the bait, they left. The problem is that everyone wants to hold the troll up as an example of their ideological opponent and give them lots of exposure.

@asianmanrecords Don’t feel bad, my grandmother paid for AOL until like 2015.

  • JoshCMidwest Joshua Cuellar (@JoshCMidwest) reported

@senatormelendez This is perfect and what people expected the government to run like by 2002. AOL, Prodigy and CompuServe came out in 1995 so DSL deployment was complete by 2002/2003. It is now 2022 and its not a case of better late then never. So let's continue catching up. 30th/40th place.

@EPoe187 I imagine most of the people arguing about this wish we never ventured beyond AOL keywords and chat rooms.

Thinking about how AOL took on the role of internet service provider and tried to present itself as "the internet" in America while Facebook tried to take on the role of internet service provider and present itself as "the internet" in India.
