    @AOL is holding the email address my family has been using for 25+ years hostage! I paid for premium support and then they unlocked it. I had to change the outdated recovery numbers and emails from the 90s and they then flagged the account and relocked it! I have answered all their questions and they still are locking us out!!!! I have “escalated” to a “tier 2” case that only goes to my voicemail and they refuse to let me contact them!!! I even provided my government employer email as a back up. My father’s medicare and social security are managed through the email!!! Our entire lives are in that email address and they wont help, they even hang up on me when I ask for a manager…..We just want our email back! @AOL WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US

    @SlapThePenguin @TheGoldenDays Correct me if I'm wrong, but these didn't normally connect to the internet. Rather, they connected to a (usually local) BBS. I'm sure that some eventually signed up for an online service (like AOL) on these, but most were modems that connected directly to the phone line.

    Y’all remember when AOL took over Time Warner and basically took over WCW from a board standpoint and then the rails fell off and AOL just fired every WCW VP who didn’t bow to their dumb **** - and then like 2 years later the company sold for $2.3 million? Time is a flat circle.

    @Matt_Pinner 19/20. Never had an AOL email because I was online before that became trendy and kept the older one (whose name I can’t for the life of me remember)

    @MiddleRights @brockpierson My son has had the cops called on him for hitting the wiffle ball in someone’s yard! I miss the days of true neighbors and friends! Society has lost touch with itself! I miss music on Napster, AOL chat and being out playing until the sun went down!
