This was back when the internet just started taking off. AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) was a black hole of possibilities. Information was being documented in one central place. Then social media connected us to people near and far that we never would've met otherwise.

  • AmandaSuspended Herman Tissues (@AmandaSuspended) reported from New Orleans, Louisiana

@malber1 Lol seriously. Do they even know what pop up blockers are? I've been online since the early 90s. I was an AOL master. I will not stand for whippersnapper **** talk either.

  • mjparadis MjP (@mjparadis) reported from New Orleans, Louisiana

Web 1.0 was the “interconnected network” *inter net* created by US alphabet institutions Web 2.0 was AOL instant messenger and me buying Chinese Pokémon cards Web 3.0 is supposedly a decentralized internet? That is not possible Web 2.5 is you are going to start using NFTs

@amaabpllc @PeterSchiff @CNBCFastMoney According to the crypto community Bitcoin is now considered the retarded child, it’s slow and cumbersome. New alt coins are faster and way cheaper to use. They compare Bitcoin to the AOL of the internet age. Even Elon doesn’t think it works that well that’s why he pumps doge.

  • ___harry_h_ H (@___harry_h_) reported

In the meantime don’t ever make a @AOLSupportHelp email - it has been hacked multiple times and problems all the time. Crazy.

  • AlOtroLado_Org Al Otro Lado (@AlOtroLado_Org) reported

✅ Won a victory in our AOL v. Mayorkas lawsuit which found that asylum seekers have the right to seek asylum at U.S. ports of entry and the practice of turning them away is unlawful We couldn’t have done all this without your partnership and support! 5/6

  • CB_Demented Cecil B (@CB_Demented) reported

@EposVox My first IT job was working at AOL looking for, reporting, and shutting down Warez rooms on the platform.

  • ModerateInvest Moderate Investor (@ModerateInvest) reported

@0fficerBarbrady @paramountplus @1883Official Biggest issue, people don't want to get rid of Netflix just like 90's AOL, people are use to them. Netflix content is mostly rented and returning to the original owners. The big three are Disney, Comcast, and Viacom CBS (P+) and the new DiscoveryWarner when the merger closes.

  • PunishedJohnny Johnny Brown 🇻🇦 (@PunishedJohnny) reported

The Wachowski Brothers were never talented, they just captured the zeitgeist that was the early internet, its possibilities and its implications. People were in the "whoa AOL" phase. No one cared about the philosophy (or should tbh) which is why all the sequels suck

  • BonzManifest Bonz ~ Manifest 🌖. ∞/21M (@BonzManifest) reported

@DylanLeClair_ Agree, nothing competes with #BTC & nothing will. BTC won. The correct comparison for ETH is other smart contract chains, And imho , ETH is the AOL of web 3. It’s slow and expensive and won’t foster mass adoption in the way that other chains are poised to do-> $LUNA $WAX etc

  • punkanddunk punkanddunk (@punkanddunk) reported

Anyone remember those aol discs that would show up in the mail. We used to hang them on the blueberry bushes to keep the birds away lol grandma was an OG

  • MaxPlanckton MaxPlanckton (@MaxPlanckton) reported

@XONANOXO22 @bstategames this happens to me. sometimes it comes after a couple hours. sometimes it never comes. not using aol or yahoo
